Playing the piano is my passion!
It is so versatile.
One can play as a soloist, playing many styles: classical, jazz, rock... or one can accompany themselves or others to sing;
such as being part of a band.

I welcome students
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
My lessons are personalized to the student's individual learning style, whether you want to play classical music or play chords and melodies.
Your style might be reading music, playing by ear, composing, learning a favorite genre, or a little bit of everything.
The young beginner will get to learn fun, catchy songs! Games will help reinforce theory concepts.
Older students begin to lean toward a certain composer or genre, as well as develop musical expression with their pieces.

The guitar student will be introduced to basic major - minor chords, 7th chords, TAB, reading treble clef melodies, improvising on pentatonic scales.
Enjoy as a solo instrument or to accompany your singing, playing in a band.

Ukulele is great for starter instrument, especially for the younger student who is enthusiastic about guitar. It is lightweight, only 4 strings,
easy to hold.

Both instrumental students
and vocal students are able to take advantage of the positive events that take place throughout the academic year.
Raffle, recitals, and other incentives.
Singing
Kids love to sing, especially behind the microphone.
Vocal exploration can begin at a young age, while incorporating
fun-filled songs.

Breath and pitch control are introduced, while expanding their vocal range and knowledge of music.
The older student will explore a variety of genres, finding the best style that suits them, including interpretation.
Get ready for an exciting mix of songs, solfège, and note-reading adventures!

Scenerio One:​
Group lessons at school can be a bit tricky... I understand, as I am a
former band teacher.
​Sometimes a child just needs that little extra boost to get them caught up.
It might only take a few lessons
to get them to that level.
​
Scenerio Two:
Maybe your child is ahead of the other students and feeling a bit bored - then it would be time to move on with challenging songs and technique to keep their interest, and give them an opportunity to be a leader.
